Flowers and texture for Just Add Ink #153
I’ve joined in on this week’s Just Add Ink challenge to choose two elements from Flowers, trees and texture. I’ve chosen flowers and texture. I’ve been wanting to try out the watercolour technique using clear embossing for a while and to compare with the effect with white embossing.
I’ve used the flowers from the Jar of Flowers stamp set and a little masking to create an effect that surrounds the centre. Water colouring on clear embossing creates a magic reveal effect, some guess work is involved-I couldn’t really see the image! To create the frill-like texture I’ve cut round an oval stitched frame. Have a great weekend-Lisa 🙂
Beautiful Lisa!!! How did you create the “frills” around the stitched ovals?
Many thanks,
Katy O’Fleming
Hi Kate,
Thank you! The frill was created by making snips all around the oval and then fanning them up a little to create some texture 🙂
Nice colour and finishing touches Lisa 🙂 Henrietta
The frilling of the oval suits the design so perfectly Lisa and adds wonderful texture too! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim
Thank you Kim!
Both cards are just gorgeous! I am loving both equally with those fabulous flowers! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink!
