Social Stamping-Merry and Bright
Welcome to the November Social Stamping blog hop where this month we are all merry and bright! Thank you Kelly for organising the blog hop and the opportunity for everyone to connect again. You may have joined me from Elizabeth Gross’s post or started here, but if you lose your way you can link back to the main post here
This card features the Peace and Joy stamp set. Starting with a piece of shimmer paper I’ve embossed the word “Bright” in white and then blended gold ink across the word bright, wiping off any excess on the embossing to make the while shine out. I used a sponge dauber but I can’t wait to get the new blending brushes, they look amazing. I’ve added the lovely Gilded Gems to the gold embossed stars and finished off with a triple layer bow using the All the Trimmings ribbon, some retired vanilla and gold ribbon and the Real Red braided linen trim. This can be stretched out to create a pretty effect, as stretchy or tight as you like. Super happy with this card, now time to really get stuck into making many more cards and posting them!
Let’s hop over and see what the super talented Lou Kitzelman has created-enjoy and happy Christmas crafting!
Gorgeous card, Lisa. I love the effect of the emboss resist for the sentiment and the stretched red braided trim is a great idea x
So amazing! Love the emboss resist and sponging. And the pop of red with the ribbon is awesome!!
A lovely card Lisa. The emboss resist with sponging is great. Gold with a highlight of red is a great colour combo. Your card will certainly brighten the recipient’s Christmas.
I love your sponging with gold ink- genius! and you’re right – it’s the writing and posting that is the real challenge. Lovely card Lisa
Gorgeous, classy cards…Thanks for sharing x
Red, white and gold is such a lovely classic and rich combo and love the embossed details and the luxurious gold gems!
A lovely card. I really like the red, white and gold together and the stars look great with the gems added to them.
